Downstream CAT removal

Hello Powers that be,

Can someone guide me to a thread, or give some insight, covering the pros/cons, should/should nots of removing the 2 downstream cats on my 04 Runner? I have been unsuccessful at finding any info using the search tool. I am about to have some exhaust repairs done and was thinking of removing the 2 DS cats (since they aren't monitored), while they have it up in the air, to improve flow, clean up the look and save a couple ounces in weight(haha).

I removed mine and replaced them with the AFEpower y-pipe. Have had no issues. The exhaust tone changes a little and you get a slight improvement in power.

Pros:
Better flow, no CEL, Nothing accessible for idiots to think they can cut off and get $ for.
Cons:
None (aside from paying for/installing a new Y-pipe or splice.)
