DR/ICON coilover and UCA installed!! pic

Finally I installed coilover and UCA to my 3rd gen!!
I was waiting for wheelers get original coilover with black color of SAW with Eibatch coil because DR was not in service for last few month. but DR/ICON started production so I decided to get DR's.

I did all by myself and it was easy job except one thing.

take these nuts out and remove stock upper arm.

Then remove thin wire on boots and remove boots.
Wipe off greese around joint ball.
Take C clamp around joint ball.

Here comes hardest part (for me)
I spent 30 min trying to take joint ball off with hummer.
but it never worked.:bash:
I took coil compressors out and it worked!!

once this take it away very easy install left.
and here it's done. :bigok: I know I forgot take more pic during install

One thing to add that DR UCA's joint ball is very stiff. it hard to make it move at first time. but I used silicon greese to make it loose.

Specially thanks for BajaRnnr who told me theres coilover exist for 3rd gen !!

After adjusting only toe balance, I took short drive with new set up to see SAKURA! (cherry blossoms)

This set up is very smooth on gap.
I think this is way better than bilstein set up I had.
Passenger noticed how it comfortable without telling about new set up.
I will adjust height and get an alignment this weekend.

Looks nice....good job...I got all mine waiting in the garage....how long did it all take for you. I have the DR coilovers TC UCA just waiting in the garage with some PP coils and new billies for the rear

How do you like the SAW you have right now?
I wanted to have Wheelers special SAW but I believe they are still negotiating. I heard that most spare parts of SAW coilover are switchable to other brands Coilover. Do you see your SAW and DR to fit ?

About $1850 for UCA and IVD. Coilover is IVD coated and extended length type.

On my tacoma the SAWs were great...I loved them....I would of bought them again but I got a great deal on the DRs and UCA so I went that route...But I would buy SAWs again in a heartbeat...great coilovers

Thanks! I think this bar's shape is just for cosmetic because simple bar works enough to guard from the rocks
but this is strong enough 'cause I could jack up with it.

Not rebuilding coilovers? SAW has all replace parts so I thought it will be cheaper. I think you won't be regret with DR too.
It is great coilover Plz post a pic when it's all done!!

BTW we don't have up side down shocks selling in JPN.
I love the these coilover style and it works better
but I am not quite sure what advantage of these style (shaft at bottom)
