Dreaded Recycled Water Spots.

My runner has recently been drenched by the dreaded recycled water spots from the sprinklers at work.
I tried taking my car to the car wash and they could not remove them even after washing the car.
Anyone know how to get the spots out?

Don't let the water spots sit long, or they will etch into the paint, and you might not ever get them out!!!!! Pick up some good paint cleaner, and a light "abrasive" polish. Start first with the paint cleaner to see if it will remove the spots. If it doesn't, you may need to go to the light polish. If you need to find the products quickly, a product like Meguair's Deep Crystal paint cleaner, or Mothers' pre-wax cleaner might work. For a light polish, something like Meguiar's #9 SMR, or Mothers' California Gold Scratch Remover would be good bets. I wouldn't wait to buy any products on-line, I'd get something right away.

Some people use a mix of distilled vinegar, and distilled water to clean out water spots. There are also acid baths that can be used in extreme cases.

The Vinegar-water mixture will only work on the Calcium deposits
that are a product of hard water.

An spot is easier to remove if you act promptly, the quicker the better.
Once the finish is etched, only abrasive buffing will remove the spot.
The danger is then to not buff through the Clear Coat.

Take a small spot and try different solvents and soaps to see what works.
Use buffing as a last resort.

a little late maybe, but another product i find that works well for a lot of different paint imperfections is meguiars scratch-X. worked wonders on many things when i first brought my baby home.
