Dreaded Rumble Strip Issue

How common is this issue in 4th Gens? I am looking into 4th Gens and just want to get an idea of common issues to look out for.

Rumble Strip

Hi, having the same issue with my 4runeer 2011 Trail Edition 200000 km. I have the car for about 1 month and just felt it: vibration when slowly accelerating. It's happening mostly when 3gr ~1500 rpm shifts to 4th ~1000 rpm. Vibration disappears at around 1200 rpm. It's like when driving a manual transmission and you are in a higher gear and there is not enough power.

I'll try to lube the driveshaft U-joints first.

I'm not sure how are you guys adding the shudderfixx....

Then eventually will replace the front driveshaft U-joints I guess.

I too had what I thought was a transmission issue that turned out to be a bad u joint that i had replaced 10k miles ago and grease was only goin to three of the bearing and dusted the 4th, it was weird because it was very intermittent. Drained and refilled the trans oil pan a few times and added shudder fixx and it was fine untill the next day, i then started looking at the drive shaft and fround the u joint from the tailshsft to be very sloppy. Put the rear on jack stands put it in gear amd took a slow-mo video of the drive shaft and sure enough it was so bad you can see it oscillating. https://youtu.be/np8rSDYFsX4

Turn volume down on video sounds like a 2stroke diesel on a dyno

There's a fill plug higher up on the side of the transmission, this is where you put new fluid in when you do a flush or a drain and fill of the transmission fluid and also the Shutter Fixx additive, do a search for transmission fluid flush or drain and fill of the transmission fluid and you should find some photos of the fill plug in question.
