'15 Trail. considering sliders, Most of the bolt on ones require drilling the frame. Will I run into any issues in the future? I know Magnusson Moss and all butighy this give a reason for a dealership to deny warranty work for anything?

I have a set of 4x innovations sliders that I am bolting onto my 05 4runner. The sliders come with a 1/4 inch steel mounting plate with 4 holes already in it. I am planning to use those holes to put bolts through the frame. The holes in the mounting plate are 5/16th inch. However I was able to get a full set of 1/2 inch bolts for free so I've decided to use those. Currently I'm drilling the holes for the bolts and it's a grade A b*tch. I've broken one drill bit and my second one is doing ok. Drilling though our 4runners frame is ending up being much harder than I planned on

Try starting with a smaller bit and work up. I drilled 1/2" holes in carbide steel with 4 steps and lots of oil.
