Drive or trailer a trail rig

for long distance trips (1000 miles one way).... is it worth just driving your trail rig or trailering it? I have a duramax and could easily tow this thing 80-90 mpg on the freeway with less wear and tear on expensive 35” tires.

My ultimate plan is to take 1 to 2 week camping/trail riding trips to the rockies but living in MN leaves a lot of pavement between us.

its completely a personal preference. I know people that trailer and I know people that drive 1000+ miles in their trail rig.

Like said above, personal preference.

HOWEVER, if I had a DirtyMax, and a trailer, I’d be all about trailering it.

If something broke on the Runner, I’d be able to get it home on the trailer.

If something broke on the DirtyMax, untrailer the Runner and get home.

Personally, depends on how hard of stuff you plan/want to do. If it's easy stuff and the rig wouldn't suck to drive it that far, drive it. If it's hard stuff and you don't want to worry if you can make it home afterwards, trailer.

It’s all personal preference
If you have the cash buy a trailer do it.
If you only have a tow rig and trail rig no trailer
Bumper tow it.
I personally have a tow rig and trailer but prefer to drive and wheel my runner and if I break something
I have plenty of tools, parts and know how, to do a trail fix quick.
