Driveline clunk...

Got a couple of wee issues that Im sure some of you have come up against before...
First is when i come to a stop and have to brake a little harder than normal, there is a noticeable clunk in the driveline when i release the brake and get moving again. i don't even need to get on the gas , all i have to do is release the brake to make it happen....Almost feels like its making up slack in the driveline or something

The second issue is that i notice a bit of a dull thumping at my feet on the floorboards when going over small studded type bumps....

Not sure if the two are related but any help would be greatly appreciated by this 3rd gen newbie!

Cheers!

I had the same issue as you with the letting off the brake and getting a clunk thing. All I did was grease the driveshaft really well and all the clunk went away.

Common problems in 4th Gens from what I understand. Almost everything I've read (here on T4R) was remedied by greasing up the driveline which can easily be done yourself.

That's great and thanks to everyone who chimed in... I'll get it the big tube of butter and get everything greased up!

Cheers!
Ron

I'm still a little confused about that thumping kind of vibration in the floorboard however....
