Have 04 4runner v8 when coming to a complete stop there's a clunk or bang like tranny downshifting after your already stopped. Will not happen if place in neutral then stop. Checked u-joint and front end ok. Checked brakes ok.
You've discovered the standard driveshaft clunk. Very common and there are lots of threads on the subject. I think one is even stickied. Do a quick search and you'll find more info than you'll ever need to know.
