Driver door won't stay open

I did several searches and was unable to find this, but it's probably because I don't know what the part is called.

My driver door won't stay open like it should, and I assume its the part that is supposed to hold it open is worn out. Can anybody point me to a prior thread about this or possibly give me some information about the name of the part and replacing said part. Thanks.

It is called a door stay or a stop. Some even call it a Door Check. I have a used that I am willing to let go for $15 shipped. Easy to install.

Thanks, I'll send a PM about the part. Will I have to pull the door panel to replace this?

You will have to pull the door panel off, but that is only held on with three screws and snaps. You will need to pull the speaker out and the the door stay is right there. It is held on with two 10mm nuts and one 10mm bolt.
It might take you 30 minutes to pull and replace.
