my 04 limited's driver seat wont sink far enough down for me to be comfortable. i am 6'3'' and i am have to crouch to see the stop light because of the angle i am sitting has anyone adjusted their seat to sit lower?

Wow, that's the first time I've heard anyone say the seat was too high. The 4Runner seat is very low to the floor and most people complain that it sits too low. The roofline is also low, so that's probably the main reason you're having trouble seeing traffic signals. Can't you just adjust the seat back a bit to make it better?

Yeah, most people say that the seat is too low, the only real suggestion I can give you is don't pull up so close to the red lights. I'm 6'5" and have no issue with my seat :

Lol. You need a stop light viewer. They are used a lot on older cars becuase they used visors over the window for the sun. I have one on my 49 chevy and it's basically just a prism... you'd just need a way to mount it.

I noticed this problem with seeing some traffic lights, and try not to pull too close to them if possible.

I'm only 6'1, but it's all in my body, can fit in very few cars and have only had one or two where i could see red light when first in line without craning my neck, 4R included
completly agree with the seat feeling too high. im 6 1 and have a longer torso so i recline the seat back to feel right in it. Im coming from low rx7s and vw jettas to my 06 t4r. pretty sure its the roofline that throws everything off. Its growing on me though, hell i love everything else about the truck but have to complain about something

:withstupid: I have to recline the seat back every time my wife has driven it. When I first started shopping for my 4R, I took a test drive in one with a sunroof. Maneuvering in the parking lot, I straightened up to look over my shoulder and stuck my head up against the roof liner. I didn't even bother taking it on the road; the extra room needed for the mechanism took up too much headroom for my liking. From that point on, no sunroof was a specification I looked for - that little bit made all the difference.
Wasn't easy to find a new V8 4x4 SR5 without a sunroof at the Toyota dealerships around here at the time either; I ended up having two different salesmen from different lots offering to sell me the same car!

Typically I have to go no sunroof as well, but couldn't pass up the deal on my current 4R, so I deal with it....lol
I'm 6' 2" and have a SR5 with no sunroof. I ratchet the seat down all the way but still feel close to the headliner. And the angle of the windshield is a higher angle (in terms of closer to 90 degrees) in comparison to my previous vehicle.
But the 4Runner has way better vision in every other aspect so I am happy! I was sold when I put it in reverse and could see so much behind me.
