Driver side door won't unlock all doors with Key

I have a 2000 4Runner Limited.
When I put the key into the driverside door to unlock the doors it only unlocks the driver side door.
If I use the key on the passenger door it unlocks all doors.

What is wrong??

Not sure anything is wrong?

To unlock all the doors at the drivers lock- I open the drivers door and hit the unlock button to open the other 3.

I have never seen mine open all 4 with the key but will give it a try and see if it will do so.

I believe the front passenger door is designed to open all 4 at once with the key but the driver's is not-think security-like a carjacking....

Mine is the exact same, I agree it is probably a safety feature.

mine opens all of them, you have to turn the key twice. the first unlocks the drivers and the second unlocks all the rest.

one turn of the key at drivers door unlocks the drivers door only and a second turn of the key should unlock all the rest....
