Driver side taller after TRD/LC Lift

So last weekend I changed my front tundra bilsteins to the 3rd/middle perch from the 1st/bottom. I also replaced the bilsteins and ome 906s in the rear with Tokicos and LC 8.5 and 8.75 wraps.

At this point, with a full tank of gas, the driver side sits a full inch taller than the passenger side in the front and 3/4" taller on the driver side than the passenger side in the rear.

I have confirmed that the fronts are both on the middle perch and the lower spring retainer is facing the correct way on both of the springs.

The front sway bar is removed, but the rear is still hooked up with factory links.

I can somewhat understand how the rear might be different with the springs being from an 80 series and being taller, blah blah, but how the heck is there an inch difference in the front?

I can't comment on the front, and im sure you already confirmed this, but, the 8.75 wrap should go on the drivers side, and your shorter spring on the passengers side for the rear to compensate for the gas tank.

Yep. Which is what I did. Driver side has the taller coil and now the driver side is taller.

You're sure that the front left wasn't already taller before making the move from 1st perch to 3rd?

My '00 gained 2-3/8" on the right front and 3-5/8" on the left front going from stock to Tundra Bilsteins on the third perch.

Not 100%, but I feel like I would have noticed in the last year. At one point I had some spidertrax on it and I did get some rubbing, but it was on the drivers side. Thinking logically, if the passenger side was lower, it would be a lot more likely that I would have had rubbing on that side rather than the driver side, but that wasn't the case.

My Icon coilovers are coming monday, so I'll get those bolted up next weekend and we'll see if the same thing is happening.

Did you ever figure out what caused the difference? How did you address it?

The front lean dictates the rear. Fix the front, and it should fix the rear. Did you loosen the UCA through-bolt and LCA bolts, then put the truck on the ground and torque to specs?

I did not. I'm still on factory UCAs. I haven't touched the UCA bolts since I got it?

You need to do it every time you change the height, especially on OEM UCAs and LCAs. With the truck on the ground, loosen the UCA through bolt and retorque to spec. Same with LCA.

Apparently I know less about this than I realize. Will this affect my alignment? Not doubting you, just trying to understand, how will this be causing my problem? Will this not have been done when they did the alignment last weekend?

The LCA bolt has to be really loose to be able to turn the cams in order to adjust the alignment. As long as you loosen them then tighten to specs one by one you will be fine it won't change your alignment. The UCA through bolt doesn't have anything to do with the alignment.

The OEM bushings don't turn inside the UCA/LCA bushing sleeve with movement of the UCA and LCA. They are what you may consider "loaded". You have them set for your previous height which puts more strain on the bushings. You need to set them for your new height. Am I making sense?

That does make more sense, but these would have been loosened when I got my alignment then, yes?

Not the UCA and probably not torqued to spec on either. It changed my height .25" by torquing to spec alone. It's not much. Doing it will make it ride better as well.

Well, I loosened them all up, bounced the front end a little bit, torqued them back up, zero change. :(

Anyone have any more ideas?

This may sound stupid, but did you drive it before measuring it?

You got the correct coils on the correct side on the front? The driver's side and passenger side are different to compensate for extra weight on the driver's side.

I didn't measure it before driving it. I didn't notice it being different until after I got the alignment, but I don't know that I think they did anything.

I didn't note this in the first post, but I did add a sonoran steel adjustable panhard bar when I did all this too.

Front coils are on the same side as they were before and I put the taller spring from the lc wraps on the driver side to be offset for the extra weight.

It kills me looking at the front of the truck because it's so obviously a bit lower. Oddly enough, the truck drives fine and tracks straight.

I figure worst case scenario I'll get these new icons put in next weekend (they're getting delivered tomorrow and see if i'm still having the same issue.

There should be 2 wraps that have a blotch of paint on the front coils: yellow-yellow or yellow-blue. What side are each on?

Yellow/Yellow is on the driver side, Yellow/Blue on the passenger.

If I had them backwards, wouldn't it make the passenger side sit taller though instead of the driver side?

Yeah, sorry I wasn't thinking straight.

If I was in your shoes, I would get the Icons in and see what it does. I don't know if it could be anything else that would give you > 1" difference from FR to FL. Unless you bent a LCA or LBJ.
