Drivers Seat-Limited

I just bought the V8 limited 4 runner last weekend. I am very happy with it so far except I can't get comfortable in the seat. I am coming from driving an Audi a6 so maybe I just need to get used to it. I'm not a huge guy, about 185 pounds, but not small either.

I was wondering if other people thought the seats were uncomfortable or if it is just me. Do the seats break in after a while? It seems like there is lumbar even though I have the lumbar adjustment on off. Does anyone have any adjustment positions they recommend?

Sorry to hear about the seat issue. It seems the 4th Gen 4Runners are geared for bigger guys.

My wife, 5'5", 120lb, used to have a Volvo S40 and loved the seats. She can't stand the seats in the 4Runner because they don't provide good support.

I don't think they are bad seats but the Volvo was definitely way ahead of the Toyota.

I'm an average sized guy and found the seats uncomfortable in terms of under support under my leg.

However, I finally discovered the telesoping feature on the steering wheel which lets me put the drivers seat farther back and get more support under my legs. Play around with the settings more to see if you can't find more comfort.

I have a Limited and found a comfortable driving position immediately. I am around 6' 2'' and 190 lbs, and leave the seat 3/4 of the way slid back and the back part reclined a bit so I have more headroom. As for the thigh part, I have the cushion raised as high as it can go. I have the lumbar support around 1/2 way out. The 4Runner seats are very low to the floor and it may take some time for you to get used to.

I also have this same issue. I traded in my 97 Ford Explorer and the seats were very comfortable. The Ford seats extended out to just behind the knee and was tilled upward. I tried using the tilt feature on the Runner to go as far up as possible, but it

My left leg gets sore on longer trips. I need to try more combinations of positions until I get something more liveable (and keep a modicum of headroom).

I took the lumbar support all the way down to nothing and now find the seat very comfortable. Before I found the lumbar pad was pressing too hard on my lower back.

Drove for 10 hours the other week with hardly a twinge. I did, however, stuff a towel under my thighs in the latter part of the trip because thigh support is not great (I'm 6'1")
