Driver's seat rattle / clunk - 08 sport

okay, im sure others out there have had it, but i did some searching and i must not of had the right term for it...

anyhow, in going around turns in the runner, im noticing clunking or popping coming from the drivers side seat bottom. anyone else notice this, or is there a TSB out there that i dont know about? its driving me nuts and i only have 5000 miles on it

I'm fairly new to owning a Runner but have you checked all the bolts that hold the seat down etc under the seat? I know dumb question but being a former Jeep owner it was not unusual to find bolts, nuts. screws that have become loose or fallen out etc. I'm probably asking the obvious but just figured I would chime in.

hey neoflex thanks for the reply... it doesnt look like thats the case here, i torqued all the bolts down to be sure.. it seems like its coming from the seat bottom, or maybe somewhere else all together!

I get that to and my urbanrunner is brand new with less than 500 miles on it. It seems like it is coming from under the drivers seat(when im driving at higway speeds i can feel it under my feet. I was just wondering what that is to?

I thought this was only an issue with the older manual (non-powered) seats?

I would politely and firmly require Toyota to fix it.

Seat noise

I have a 2006 With power seats and have those noises, only 8000 miles on it. Can't stand it, will take it to the dealer as soon as I have time.

I have the manual sport seat and Its been great , No problems.

My 2004 has the same issue. Its the front of the seat that has the up and down play. Something to do with the height adjustment. When I grab the front of the seat and move it up and down, I can see play in the gears where the actual adjustment occurs. Not to sure what's loose or worn out, but this is a very common problem in all the 4Runners since 2003. I dont think there is a TSB for it, but there should be.
