Drivetrain Lift?

Who here has done a drivetrain lift on their 3rd gen?

Im hoping to do the lc/tundra lift soon but I was also looking on yotatech and one of the guys with a tacoma did it on his and he was able to basically tuck the drivetrain above the frame and move the gas tank and make the bottom of the truck flat by moving the crossmembers. The skid plates could then be flat and cover the bottom of the frame, making it nearly impossible to hit your transmission or transfer case.

I'm not sure if you can clock the stock transfer case but there are other transfer cases that would allow this.
But for the fuel tank you would need a new smaller as there's not much room anyways under there.

Proper way to do it would be to raise your engine, tranny, tcase, and gas tank. You'd need to make new mounts for everything. You'd cut through the floor and make a new console, and possibly have to redo your seat brackets. You could raise your tcase and tranny which would tilt your engine forward and you'd be making clearance for your fan hitting your radiator. A lot of work.

Why are you considering a flat belly?

on yota tech they pretty much did extensions on all the mounts and a 3" body lift as well.

This is also an option that will save you from cutting through the floor.

I did the flat belly.

BudBuilt clocking ring. Saving for an Inchworm Lefty and Taco Box.

Custom Transmission crossmember.

Engine lift.

1.5" RB Body lift.

Gas tank still hangs down, but plan on working on that one while the rig is down.

While right with some of this, you are WAY off with cutting through the floor and making a new console. No disrespect meant, but no.

I had to clearance my floor, and probably went way over kill the way I did it, but no need to build a new console.

And FWIW, my brother ran a custom crossmember on his Taco trans for over a hear with NO engine lift and had no issues with the fan and the rad.

Ive been working on putting in some scion xb seats, the guys on yotatech just swap the rails, but after trying it, not only were the seat rails not the same, the rail teeth were too thick to lock the seat in properly. so I cut the legs off the 4runner seats and put them on the xb seats, which worked but the seat is about 4 inches taller, and my head touches the roof. so basically I made mounts that just go right through the body pan, obviously I looked underneath before drilling the holes, and there is actually a lot of room between the transmission and the body, at least 3" of clearance, almost as if it was made to take a bigger transmission. anyways thats what got me curious. the seats by the way are awesome, but its a bit of work to put them in, when I make a build thread ill put in pictures of how I installed them.
