You are right on about the surf! I spent 4 months on my honeymoon down there checking out the surf. I surfed killer breaks where I was the only person out! Tip: use google earth to plot your trip, print out photos and lable them with gps quards. you will need them! you can pay land owners to allow you to camp on the land near the break for almost nothing!

I surfed a place that was a cloud break right off the main road that no one had surfed or was surfing. you couldn't see it unless you looked over the tall weeds! it was sooooo good! perfect right tubes! 18' walls!

Oh man NO DOUBT! Did you get any photos? Rent a car? Where abouts were you staying? Hehe I could ask 1.5 million question :-D
Have you ever heard of Brian Conley? He is a pro surfer from cali that has a SICK rig built for Cali -> Mex travels (See here : TRUCK) Ive seen a show or two with him and his mexico travels and that truck basicalls satisfies ALL NEEDS (besides quim ) but yeah, I look forward to checking it out sometime!
Oh yeah, did you see the Rip Curl "search mexico" WCT contest last year? It was SO GOOD! Basically like Kirra, but uncrowded and maybe even better..... atleast thats what the pros were saying! Its nice to know there are other hilux surf owners out there who actually surf! Keep it up man!
