Driving without a front strut

Hi All, I have broken, destroyed more like it, one of my front struts towers. There is very little holding things together on top right now.

I am not able to fix it for a few days (Tuesday) and I was thinking about removing the one strut so that it does not completely break through while driving.

I unfortunately need to drive the vehicle locally (city driving) for the next couple of days. I am trying to make other arrangements.

Is it ok to drive without one of the front struts for a short distance on paved roads? City driving.

Your talking about the coil over mount, the on with 3 nuts? Ummm if you take out the coilover then you'll be on the bump stop. Not good.

You can't drive it safely without a spring on there!!

Yes where is the photo of what you are talking about? If you remove the strut you literately have zero suspension and its not drivable. No driving it around in the city or anywhere. As Like the other member said you be on the cross arms bump stops.

That is correct, you can't drive it without a suspension, the first bump you hit not to mention all the other bumps will bend or break the control arms and or frame!!

That one corner of the vehicle would like a 1000 lb sledge hammer hitting those parts and frame.

Jesus, how is this even a question? No, it's not safe to drive.

Good grief... You need a new strut tower bracket.. Of course that is a no. I would be very careful even moving it. That is called bracket failure and no way would I be driving that around at all..:/

no you cant drive,

how do you plan to fix, everything looks pretty rusty. Did it fail because of rust, then how is the rest of frame in that area for doing wielding repairs
