DRL Bulb Size -- 4157 Hyper Whites

Has anyone found any aftermarket lights (PIAA, Silverstars, etc.) that work in the DRL's?! All I can find is 3157... and I'm not sure if those are gonna work. Help please.

Make sure that you verify which bulb size you are currently using. From the information that I gathered from a variety of older threads, I believe that 4157 bulbs/sockets are used when the vehicle comes equipped with DRL. If you did not have DRL, your bulbs/sockets will probably be 7440. This is strange, but seems to be the case.

I added the DRL to my 04 and found out that the larger 4157 bulb will not fit into the housing. I think the bases are the same, but the 4157 bulb is fatter than the 7440.

FWIW, i've been using the same 3157 since day one when i bought my truck..it's been in there for almost 3 years now.
