DRL/turn signal LED seal for 03-05

Hey All,

I have the Triton V3 LED switchback which installs into the DRL/turn signal socket. The kit comes with a couple of seals (universal) to ensure no moister comes in. Well, while I'm very happy with the LEDs, they keep letting in moisture, thus watering up the lens. Very irritating. I went ahead and ordered new assemblies. (I can't get the moister out, so I'm tossing them) What would you use to "seal" the LED socket into the DRL/signal assembly? The rubber rings that come with the kit obviously don't work well. I would rather NOT silicone them, any suggestions or tricks?

Why not silicone? It isn't like it is permanent. You could maybe try a non corrosive grease or something, or buy a larger, Same inner diameter, oring

I thought of the grease thing, but a lot of times I pressure wash my chassis, so thats probably not a great alternative. Maybe I will silicone it. Worse case senario I peel it off.

All this JUST for LED turn signals..?

Dual color LED is white while in "DRL" mode and turns amber when it starts to blink.

You need the waterproofing kit. It's also important to get the right seal. My kit came with 4 different choices; 2 big and 2 small, with one thicker than the other. I chose the small thick one and it works perfectly. No water in my drl housing. And, it's been raining here all day. I'd call the VLEDs guys. They'll help you out.
