Dual Climate Control Bulbs???

Hello I have a 2006 4runner limited, I had noticed that the passenger side temp control had no Illumination light like the drivers side did so I removed the panel took the bulb out and swapped the drivers side bulb into the passenger side socket to see if it was just a bulb that was blown, as soon as I installed it it blew that bulb also. could this potentially be a bad panel? has anyone else had this problem? and what was the fix?

Thanks for any help on this...............

I'd try one new bulb 1st. Older bulbs can have brittle filaments and sometimes just moving them around can make them blow. Think about old work light, prior to toxic 'green' bulbs. How many time did you move working work light only to have it blow.

Yeah I will probably try that first and go from there, the only pain is you have to order the bulbs from toyota because they dont stock them and I dont know where else to find them and there like $5.00 a piece ....................

I am sure there is another source but I don't know it.

Check superbrightleds.com, IIRC a member mentioned they have LED replacements for the climate control backlight.
