you need an adapter kit to connect the transfer cases together. Modify your cross member and lengthen your front drive shaft and shorten your rear drive shaft.
If you have a 4 cylinder with a manual trans it will probably bolt right up to the transmission but if you have an auto you have to buy a $500 adapter.
There are also some small mods you have to make to your transfer case and the second transfer case.

Yes, but they don't simply bolt together. One gets disassembled and the front section bolts to the adapter, which then bolts to the second case. Other modifications required are listed above.

99.9% of autos have chain cases.
my second gen runner w/ a 22re and 5spd had a chain case. had to buy a 500ish dollar Inchworm adapter to run dual cases
