Dude, where does my garage door remote go???

Just bought a new sr5 with a sunroof ( love the truck!!!) , and for the life of me, I can't figure out where the garage door remote is supposed to go!!!???!!! Anyone know this?

The visor is too thick for the clip
There is no center tunnel on the ceiling, since I have the sunroof.

Anyone's help would be appreciated.

Velcro'd it to the side of the console, the flat spot on the opposite side of the 4WD selector...

Once I stopped looking up to find it, it works for me...

renegad_1@, I had the same problem with mine and it drove me nuts. Now, there is a solution providing you do not mind spending a few bucks. Have a look at the thread I posted below and this should answer your woes; it did mine!

I agree. Homelink option great. Not too expensive and only a 15min mod.

If you don't want Homelink right now, then I opened the metal spring on my old garage door opener until it would fit over the visor. I ultimately got Homelink because it's by far the better option, IMHO.

My gate remote and garage door opener remote are in that little pocket above right in front of the center console, the one behind the shifter..

Go with the homelink. Especially if you have multiple remotes. Mine came stock, but it sounds like a really easy and cheap mod.

It was also really easy to program. It only took me a couple minutes to do two different remotes.

That's where I put mine too! Fits perfectly!

I bought one of those keychain remotes that fit into the storage bin next to the shifter. It fit in there pretty tightly, so I was able to just flip open the lid and press the button.

I now have the Homelink console, which I highly recommend.

haha, I was thinking about that, but I get kindof anal about seeing things like the indent it leaves on the visor..

i'd like a homelink, but don't want to drop the money for it right now..

I was able to shove the clip in under the visor extension on the drivers side. My remote is the same length as the visor is wide so it fits there pretty well. It's convenient to reach and doesn't interfere with the visor except of course using the extension which I never do. Ultimately I would like to get Homelink but I don't have the $80 laying around right now.
