DVD and Ipod on Factory Nav 2004

Well, the time finally came. I just sold my 2004 Limited. I ended up taking out the aftermarket DVD player, Vais Technology Audio Interface with IPOD, and the AV electornics Navigation/DVD module. Basically if you have a 2004 factory Navigation unit (I'm not sure what other years it works with) you can basically watch DVD's on the factory Nav, as well as play your Ipod, and have the playlist, and song names show up on your Nav screen. It worked perfect for me. I had the DVD player mounted under the driver seat and had the IR eye set up right next to the nav screen...made it super easy control the DVD.

I'm selling as a package. This set up cost me about $600. I'm selling it for $300 plus shipping.

Thanks! Its actually not really a "kit" you have to buy all the items seperately. The unit from AVElectronics allows the feed from the GPS unit in the trunk to be interupted, so that you can use the DVD player to put the DVD picture on to your OEM nav screen without affecting the GPS. Then the Vais unit allows you to hook up your IPOD to control and play your playlists through your NAV unit. The Vais unit also has one extra sound input which gets fed from the DVD player, and volia, you have the sound to your DVD, so now you can watch and listen to the DVD or your IPOD.

Can you verify if this will work in years other than 2004? I have a 2006 and this would be great to have for the kids.

Also, are all installation instructions included? Did you install and uninstall this yourself?
