DVD Screens

I realize there is an electronics forum page, however wanted to narrow it down to 3rd gen specific. Has anyone added a rear entertainment system (DVD player/screens) for little ones? PIctures, brands, etc?

ha. ideally i would have screens installed in the headrests but i dont know if they are large enough. with the sunroof, a ceiling mount may be tough.

was looking at the headrest package deal that comes with new headrests and everything. Just have a few other things that are a little higher on the priority list but want to see teh feedback you get on this.

I have a 10.4" flip down with dvd player I am debating on installing. I THINK there will be enough room but it will be a very tight squeeze.

im using 6" tko's on the head rests its perfect sise and still fits the factory head rest without using the replacment head rest those are funky and look to bulky on our seats. ill see if i can snap some shots tommorow of them on my runner.

those pics would be great and appreciated, also where you mount the dvd player, unless the dvd player is part of the whole screen unit

That is EXACTLY the look i want in my rig with the screens. What i was thinking about was the alpine screens, they come with mounting brackets, and then like you would run the dvd off of the head unit i have. For sound, do you have it wired so that whatever is on the screens is what comex thru the speakers? i GREATLY appreciate the pics!

i have alpne screens in my show car not really worth it if you are paying full or close to full price on those.

I run DVD's and iPod video from my Pioneer Head unit, the Headrests themselves also have DVD players built in.

Has anyone put a lcd in place of their clock. I know it would be small but for a dedicated backup cam?

you did get a steal when CC went out of biz at $280. Most of the audiovox out there now come with headrests, Im pretty confident in Alpine's quality and hoping these will live up to that.
