Dynamat or not..

Dynamat saved my sanity. I had Dynamat Extreme installed on all 4 doors and the cargo area. I can't believe what a difference it made not only with rattles, but also the overall noise level of the truck -- it's as quiet as a Lexus now.
Was it worth the price? I think so. I bought 2 packs of bulk Dynamat off eBay for a couple of hundred bucks. Installation cost me a couple of hundred more. It's hard to remember because I had a whole bunch of stuff installed at once, but I don't believe that portion of the bill was more than $500 (labor and Dynamat).
My only problem now is that it's sometimes hard to hear emergency vehicles approaching. The insulation seems to muffle the sirens!

Really? That good huh? Hmmm... Maybe it's worth the money. I've found that some of the rattle is from the plastic liner that come standard against the door panel but I like the thought of having some sort of weather protection there so I don't want to take it off. Dynamat would work just as good I think. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I love the stuff I used from McMaster-Carr. It's the same stuff Bob used when he did his. However, I have yet to do my doors and roof in this stuff. I have only done the entire floor board, cargo area and tail gate.
Just with the above sections I mentioned I've done, my 4Runner is so much quiter. Passengers can really tell a difference in the noise reduction than before. Plus I spent under $150 on the sound deadening material and new carpet padding. Much cheaper than Dynomat and yet I achieved the same results.
My wife drives an '00 4Runner and it amazes me how quiter mine is than hers after I've driven her 4Runner.
