Got a Dynomax Super Turbo (17-748), and a K&N air filter installed today on my '04 V8. Love it/them!
I have been wary of aftermarket mufflers and noise. Also cost, so for $120 I had my factory muffler cut off and the Super Turbo welded in its place. Couldn't be happier. The new setup retains the stock look and overall feel, but the performance and gas mileage are improved, and the sound...just enough to know you're driving a sweet, torquey V8. No flowmaster, borla drone, etc.
The combo has made for even smoother throttle response, and the truck seems to run smoother.
Cheap, effective, and a sleeper. Nobody knows what you've done until you're pulling away!
