E-brakes

Anyone have to replace their emergency brake shoes yet on their 4th Gen 4runner?

I was speaking to a brake guy, he said the e-brake shoes could be causing the pulsing on my brake pedal, rather than warped rotors.

Pulsing is not bad, no pulling left or right when braking, no shimmy in steering wheel.

That makes no sense to me. Was he fully aware you have rear disc brakes with a small, drum style p-brake?

I may be missing something...

If your brake guy also suggests replacing your muffler bearings, let us know...

yeah did not make sense to me either.

getting ready to replace rotors and pads in the front when it warms up a tad.


as for the muffler bearings I replaced those already!:whipping2

Ive been parking on an incline since I bought my runner. I hate loading up the trans while in park so I always pull up on my driveway and make sure the ebrake is engaged with the trans in neutral and as long as it doesn't move then I put it in park. Still grabbing hard to this day. I love when people park on inclines and just put the trans in park with no ebrake. Makes me cringe, lol.
