Well i busted my fan in lake arrowhead which took out my radiator. I finally got my fan on friday. its from a thunderbird, people say it pulls 4000cfm on high speed and 2500 on low. I got it all mounted today not sure how i like it though. i think i need to fix the shoud a little. let me know what you think. Oh yeah, its kind of a tight squeeze thats for sure. Im using the stock shoud. we will see how it works. here are some pics.

Looks good. I like the idea of having a fan that you can control, so it won't be wasting engine power when it is not needed or splash water when doing some deep water crossing.

When I did a similar conversion to my old Nissan pathfinder, I had a Nissan quest fan and custom fitted to the Nissan pathfinder radiator. I did find that it did not cool the engine as well as the engine driven fan.
But that could just be me.

what do you guys think about the gap between the fan and the shoud??? is it too much. thats the one thing i dont like about it and its holding me back from going to wiring it up and flush the system and have my truck back :D

I would mount it up and try it out, it looks a little big but should work fine.

Well i ended up scraping that whole setup and used the stock shroud off the T-bird and chopped up my stocker to add to it as well. came out really nice. I got it all wired up and it works great. Unfortunately i didnt take many pics but ill see what i can do tomorrow, i gotta flush the whole coolant system still and clean up all the wiring. but it came out SWEET and good god it pulls some air.

Glad you're close to being up and running again! Flush that bad boy out nice and good because I'm not sure how good a job that sock did at filtering the water!

hahah oh yeah, i put about 6 gallons of water through it, that water came out nasty. i only put half a water bottle in the overflow and it didnt use it as far as i know. but im back up and running woot woot :D and i have no clue whether its got more power or not...ive been driving the v8 around for the last 3 weeks haha
