The Diff Loc on my '97 runner is badly rusted. It doesn't not work even though the dash light comes on with the switch. Does any one know if the internals will be corroded or could it be just the wires under the vehicle ?
I have not bothered to investigate why yet as I do not go offroading enough to use it. Would be nice to have it though just in case !! Just looking underneath the wires are still connected.
Not having any experience with these, are all the moving parts internal ?
If someone has had similar issues would be nice to hear from you.
The runner is 17 years young however and I am slowly going over it replacing worn out parts. Can't do much though when it's a windchill of -25c and no garage !
