E-Locker with Rear Diff Breather Mod?

The ARB kit has enough tubing to run a separate line for both breathers to the driver's side engine bay. Some people have used a 't' fitting to join them at the differential and run a single line.
Wanderlost overland has a good DIY on their youtube channel. They used a brass T for the e-locker and rear Diff.

i did both the diff and e-locker, each with a separate line to to the engine bay. plenty of tubing with the ARB kit.

This thread is timely. I plan on doing this mod this week myself.
I wish I didn't have to drill the truck to do it though. I may explore another option on that.

There are threaded holes already in the engine bay. I drilled two holes in a piece of aluminum and used it as a mount.

Did you go to the driver side or passenger? I am planning to run two lines as well with the ARB kit. Followup Question: What method did you use to connect to the e-locker hose? A simple fitting such as this one? (May need a 1/4" barb to 1/8 Thread?) or Another method? I figured using a fitting such as that and then the shark-bite fitting from ARB would work fine.
Appreciate the insight. Going to do this on a 2022.

Diff and locker share the same airspace. The issue arises when fording, cold water creates a vacuum opening up the diff breather on the pumpkin, sucking in water. When you add an ARB breather extension, the airspace is always 'open', thus eliminating the problem. The locker breather simply won't open.
Should you do the locker too? It's not really necessary, but it one insists, go ahead.

I've read this somewhere else too. If true, this would make life during the install a lot easier! That being said, it seems several experienced 4Runner folks seem to opt for doing both breathers, which then puts me on the fence.
Do you have a rear locker but did the diff breather extension only? Everything still kosher?

Mine seems just fine with just the diff breather and I've done plenty of water crossings. When I get around to it I'll probably hook up the breather on the elocker though.
I did change the fluid after the install/water crossings and nothing funky came out, it was actually crystal clear

It's been a while since I have had one apart, but I don't think the shared airspace is true. However, the open breather on the diff side does negate the entire sucking water in problem, hence probably no need to extend the diff lock breather, as long as it keeps the valve on it.
The part of the locker assembly that goes into the diff housing (gear) is sealed from the breather side of the motor housing.
