E7006 Navigation / phone questions

Hey guys. I currently have the E7006 nav unit installed with the rt side steering wheel switch and microphone installed.

When I push the phone button the following screens are available. My question is if anyone knows how to link a phone up to these older 4th gen nav units, & is it bluetooth? Or is it a wired interface with a certain phone, etc?

I think a lot of people were trying to figure this one out a while ago. It turns out that all the software for bluetooth phone capabilities are already on the 4th-gen NAV systems, but the hardware that receives and sends bluetooth information isn't there.

The bluetooth has to be built into the nav unit itself. In order to gain this function, you would have to switch the entire unit to one that already has bluetooth built into it.
