E7019 questions

I'm looking to install an E7019 nav unit in my nonJBL 06 4runner SR5. From what I've gathered, it's pretty much plug and play except for having to wire the nav unit to the VSS, reverse, and parking brake. That being said, I'm under the impression that the parking brake can just be grounded and the reverse can be also, if there is no rear camera being used.

That leaves only the VSS, which I am still unclear on how that would work. Does anybody have a schematic or detailed instructions on this or can point me in the right direction?

Also, does the E7019 support bluetooth or a back-up camera? If it supports bluetooth, what would I need to do in order to get it working, especially if I do not have the right-side steering controls for the bluetooth? Just buy a factory mic and run it somewhere in the cabin?

Any help is appreciated as I've never installed a nav system. I've installed plenty of radios, but they've always involved just plugging in wiring harnesses.

The 7019 is one of the navs I haven't had LOL, however I have a lot of experience with other navs. DO NOT ground the reverse input wire if you have no plans to connect a rear view camera. It's still a good idea to connect the reverse input to this anyway as that's not just to switch the screen to camera, it also helps let the nav know what the vehicle is doing. If you don't hook it up, just cap it and stow it. But you do not want to ground it.

I think I got my VSS from the body ecu. Here's a small diagram of some places the speed signal goes. Tap off any one of these places.

Where do I plug the back up camera?

Reviving this old thread in hopes that you may have the definitive answer.

Does the E7019 have the capability of using a reverse camera? For the life of me, I cannot find this information anywhere. I have looked everywhere!

I already have the Eclipse B106 camera that is direct plug and play from Fujitsu but where the heck do I plug it in? :redbrick:

Judging by the plugs, it doesn't look like it.

The first two white plugs on the left are going to be your power and speaker audio output.

The grey plug is your reverse / parking brake / speed sense input.

The next connector to the right, the black plug, should be for the rear seat entertainment audio.

The next white connector, should have the wiring for steering wheel controls, and voice guidance.

The blue connector will contain the wiring from the rear seat entertainment system video to the front monitor (7019).

The next small grey connector is your GPS antenna connector.

Then of course, are your radio antenna plug receptacles (jacks).

I'm not 100% familiar with the 7019, but if they went with the standard layout from every other nav unit toyota uses, then there you have it. It is possible that if the 7019 has bluetooth, or uses voice commands for nav, they may have crammed this input into the white connector with the steering wheel controls & voice guidance. That would be my guess. Same with rear view camera.

This will give you the exact info you need. I would look it up for you, but... it's $15. Sorry, I'm not that nice of a guy
