Early 3rd gen cup holder solution

Take it or leave it but the 97 cup holders SUCK. I've tried to find a 99-02 console to do the mod but no luck. So instead I have been searching for ideas every where and this is what I came up with. Its from a Land Rover Discovery. Not perfect, but a great edition none the less. Its held on with 2 screws. I use the tall 16 oz Tervis tumblers and they fit great. Also the "coffee" holder comes out for the big gulp cups. They are usually set up in pairs but Im not sure if I want one on the drivers side as I am 6'1" and like my space. What do you think?

Looks pretty good, I don't think that location would work for the 4x4 trucks though.

If anyone is looking for the center console, California Mini truck should have a few in stock, I know they just got a 99 in recently.

Thats out of a Disco 2, they are nifty cupholders, But i fear manual and 4wd owners might have issues.

The screws are one in the center under the cup holder down into the shifter cover and one in the outside bottom into the console. Its very stable. And sorry 4wd and manual guys, probably right that its not for you. And I got it from good old EBAY. Bid on it and paid $20 with shipping.

I agree about the holes then I figured it would be there as long as I owned the truck so what the hell. I plan on driving it to the junk yard after I am done with it anyhow......

these cup holders are pricey.... i dont mind the holes. you can always pickup rubber insert/plugs from a local hardware store and the only people who would know that was not supposed to be there is a fellow T4R owner and yourself.

those are nice... its hard to get past how good the LR one looks though.
