Easiest/cheapest way to get side view mirror?

Hey all. For some reason, my passenger side mirror is gone- don't know if it was lifted or fell off, no clue. In any case, it's just the glass, and I need a replacement. Dealer wants almost $200.

What's a good, easy way to get a replacement part like this? I generally don't like going the eBay route (too much substandard crap on there), but will if that's what you think would be best.

usually you can go to your local glass shop and they can cut you a piece to match and just glue it on

If you have Sport Edition or Limited, the mirror is heated. On the SR5, if you get a SE or Limited mirror, you've just upgraded to heated mirrors. PM member K.C., he's replaced his SR5's with a SE/Limited mirror. The other alternative is try a junkyard or a Toyota specific recycler.

BigBrother, I am new here but I thought I would share; I found this person on ebay and he sells tons of spare 4runner parts. I found mirrors (direct replacement) for $123.00 and they are heated, he has more than 10 at this price. Here is the link:

That appears to be the correct replacement mirror glass. The shape looks right. I can't confirm the measurement though. It doesn't appear to be heated.

Another alternative would be the Muth mirrors with turn signal indicators. They also have heated mirrors.

Sorry...I apologize for my buddy Uneek for being unclear. If I did have a mirror for you, I'd be gladly to sell it to you.

Since you didn't mention in your thread whether or not you have an SR5, Sport or Limited. He's just telling you what happened to me.

I have an SR5 & I too had my mirror whacked off. I was hoping to just replace it w/ the mirror glass piece, because it's much cheaper than the whole assembly. However...the piece on the mirror assembly holding the mirror was broken as well, I had no other choice but to replace the whole thing. Since I'm replacing it & spending money, I opted to replace it w/ a Sport/Limited mirror.

I didn't know till after it was installed, that Toyota pre-wired the system w/ heated mirrors. So my driver is heated (silver) & my passenger is still stock (non-heated)

If I recall, you can replace just the mirror glass that has the heated mirrors. It's so awesome, it's great in the rain, I may replace the right side before the winter comes.
