Easiest Satellite Radio

Has anyone installed sat radio just using a portable system via the aux input in the console? I'm thinking about doing this but was wondering how messy it would be. I'm not sure what the cleanest way to route the antenna wire would be (I'm thinking of just running it around the console and up to the front dash). For power, it would be either through the AC in the console (is that bad?) b/c it's cleaner, or the cig. adapter. I just don't want something that's all messy/ugly.

I had Sirius in my last car and liked it, but I'm not committed to it either. If XM would better suit this application then that's the way I would go. Does anyone have a suggestion? I would like something that I could take out to listen to at home/work.

{Temporary Setup}

I installed my Sirius Sportster in my center console using the Audio Jack. Wires are hideous right now, but its been damn cold since 1-9-06 when Howard made the move and I dragged it out of my old car into the new 4R.

I ran the antenna under the rear cargo carpet, under the seat, under the rear floor mat, and into the center console. The whole sportster sits in the box since I only use 2 channels (howard & NFL). Music is on my Ipod.

1 thing I'd recommend though is buying a Ground Loop Isolator to get rid of the engine whine if you are going to use the mini-jack plug.
