so who here is a trout fisherman? can't wait for the opener. will be going up the first weekend in may and probably at least a dozen more times after that!

looking to go up to coyote flats in late june/july... anyone want to join in?:thumb3:

I'm with ya on the excitement! I've been waiting on the passes to open up so I can get over there to our cabin. I'll be mostly around Mammoth and Bridgeport, the Walker River and Bridgeport lake is usually where I spend most of my time fishing.

The return date for my deployment is late June, so after that I'm game.

I am gonna try and make it there this season. I mostly hit the Carson river area.

the carson river area is awesome! more big trout put in that river than anywhere in cali... and that ain't no bull.

I have done all my fishing in Oregon, Washington, Virginia, Maryland, and Texas. I've never had the time to go out and fish California since stationed at Camp Pendleton. I look forward to it though. I have lots of lifting mods to complete that goes hand in hand with my camping/fishing/hunting plans. Fishman you are welcome. The deployments are worth it when you have people like this here wanting to go mudding, trailing, camping, fishing.

bigfishallday- lucky you! having a fully open season would be nice but most of the areas i target are not fishable most of the year anyway.
