Easy cargo net question

So I am trying to figure out how to install the cargo net so that, for example, groceries won't fall out when you open the hatch after you get home. I want it installed so that it is a barrier from the inside of truck to the outside. For some reason, none of the "engineer" in me can figure it out.

I have the double decker system if that helps.

The cargo net I have seems like should be used as a luggage tie down. It almost square in shape. 2 corners have clips, the other side of the net has 4 elastic "hooks". These attach under the upper deck system. Do I have the right net? It is listed on the sticker as Double decker cargo area/net.

Any ideas???

There is another net. It is explained in the manual. It hooks on the round fluted knobs on the inside about even with the top of the tail lights and hangs down. It is two sides connected at the bottom like a hanging bag. Search in all the compartments, on top of the wheel wells and inside the console. Some times the dealers hide them and sometimes they want you to buy them as accessories. If you have a limited, it is standard equipment.

You have the correct STANDARD net. It sounds like you have it installed right on the upper deck, but it's not the one you want to stretch across the opening in the rear. That one is optional at somewhere around $25-30.

My 2004 Limited did not come with the "grocery sack" net that moneypit described. I use one that came with a 2003 Suburban. It seems to fit reasonably well. A Chevy dealer told me that they usually have some lying around.

Do you know where I can find one that stretches across the opening and attaches top and bottom to keep groceries, etc from falling out when you open the back? You mentioned one for $25-30....?

That's the net that I have. It works well but it only attaches at 4 points. To stop groceries from rolling underneath the net I ran a bungee cord through the bottom of the netting. It works much better IMO.

I think Conicelli Toyota Dealership actually sells this envelope net for 16.99 plus shipping...which is less than the last place I posted. Good luck.

I bought my cargo net at walmart for under $10. Then used a pair of cheapo carbiners to attach it to the hooks on the floor
