I have spent literally hours searching this forum and others for an answer, so I apologize if I missed it, but here goes:
I'm planning to install a line-level amplifier to boost the signal from my iPod to an auxiliary input adapter I've got in my 2004 sport edition.
Will everything work OK if I tap into the power to the cigarette lighter in the console -- that is, attach the amplifier's power wires to the back of that cigarette lighter?
I've read about tapping into the fuse box on the driver's side with an add-a-circuit type of deal, and that's completely feasible, but thought that the cigarette-lighter route might be easier. Problem is, I'm no electrical engineer, so any advice will be much appreciated.
