I just price matched it today at my local Discount Tire successfully on 8 tires, saving myself 400.

Decision time. What I really want to end up with is some new wheels to get set for proper backspacing and have all 5 wheels be able to clear my TBU. I was looking at ProComp 7069s, but it seems like they are not part of the sale so far in our sizing/bolt pattern. Hrrrrrmmm..

I don't really NEED new tires, but now is the right time if I get motivated.

My King 2.5 Extended coilovers will be here Wednesday. I am most likely ordering a SS 1.2 rear only lift to cover rear end duties this week. I might just stick with my BFG KO2 265/75/16s for a bit, but this is tempting.

This sale doesn't seem to like the 255/85/16 size very much either. No Cooper ST MAXX for me.. The options seems to open up at 285/75/16.
 
They are obviously a reputable company.

Anyone else worry that I'll get a tire that's 5 years old?

I sent a question asking about the manufacture date to the seller. We will see if I hear back.

I'm looking at those too. Those are 4 ply. Is that okay for an 01. I figured a lower ply would be a better ride. I don't tow anything significant.




Edit: My little brother took his F-150 to his local discount tire shop in Houston, Tx and they matched the price he could get them for on eBay. Difference is taxes, but they also charged him less on installation if he gets the tires from them instead of bring your own tires.

If I go with Coopers I can get 4 tires for my Honda or GF's Subaru for around $260 with the extra $70 off! Insane!

No, I used to be a Tire Rack guy but my last 3 sets of tires (cars & truck) have come from DTD. They have a clearance section for older tires which are from 2013-2014 & they are odd sizes. They move too much inventory to have old tires in common sizes.

I'm stoked. Can't wait for the tires to show up. Bought 265/75r16 duratracs for the DD taco and 295/70/r17 cooper stt max for the 4Runner.
