I'm so happy I had to write about it. I've been skulking on DiscountTire's website for weeks waiting for a deal. I never bothered checking discounttiredirect but I did on a whim and they were having a $100 off flash sale for yesterday and today only. I called my local DT and asked what the difference is and whether they could match and they did! I got a set of 4 285 Ridge Grapplers with certificates all for $980 installed!

If you've been waiting for a good time to buy tires, find the price on DTD and call your local DT. Sale is going on for about 4 more hours. Good luck!

Looks like Discount is running a similar deal for the holiday weekend. Almost tempting to pull my Terra Grapplers at this point (just at ~9K miles), but figure I'll hold out till July 4 since I doubt I'll be doing any significant trips until stuff gets a bit more normal later in the summer (and it's getting hot to go wheeling in the lower deserts here in Arizona).

Still haven't decided what I want to run next either!

Actually took advantage of their Flash sale last month. Online purchased, since we don't have Discount Tires Stores here in PA, 4 Hankook Dynapro AT2 tires, stock size P265/70R17. They matched lower cost from Amazon, with their $80 rebate on these tires, delivery cost to me $440! Then sold my OEM tires for $300!

Off topic but--I can't find KO2's in 275/70r17 without raised white lettering. Can you have the shop mount them such that the whitewall is facing inward to the wheel well? It's my understanding the KO2 only has raised white lettering on one side, and I'd like all black on the tire facing outward.

Yes you can mount tires with white letters facing inward. I had costco do that for me on my 275/70/17 when I got them.

I also took advantage of their flash sale last month. Traded in the stock Dunlops, and bought 4 Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 LT 265/70R17 E tires. They are smooth and vibration free, quiet as the stock dunlops, and just slightly firmer ride being a load range E. Fantastic in rain (much better than the Toyo A/T2's I had on the old 4Runner, or the KO2's on another vehicle) and a spring snowstorm.

With the trade-in, flash sale, installation and roadforce balance, manufacturers rebate, certificates, State mandated disposal fees and taxes, they were about $350.00

Very pleased so far.
