I bought my Magnaflow exhaust from the Performance Peddler (PP) ebay store for $400 back in October and others before me had paid as little as $340 shipped. At the time, they were just starting to become popular. PP knew this, and they also knew that online forums (T4R.org & Yotatech) were giving these systems good press, so the demand would go up. Seeing that the systems were getting good reviews on the auto forums they knew; A) That the Magnaflow system was a great value for the money especially compared to TRD and Borla systems which are much more expensive; and B) That people would most likely pay much more than $350 for the system. So, the more online offers they recieved for the system, the higher they raised the price. I got screwed then, and you're getting screwed now. I'm pretty sure this is price gouging, but since they use ebay I guess they can get away with it. Sucks, but its still cheper than TRD and Borla...

I bid all the way up to $365.00 and ran out of bids. He would only drop like $10.00 with each counter offer so his final counter offer was $430.00 thats when I ran out of bids and have since backed off. I tried bidding with them twice and didn't get any closer to $400.00 or lower.

Try calling them and asking them to ship for $400. Tell them other members bought the same exact thing a couple of months ago for cheaper than they countered. Ask them why they would charge different prices for the same thing. Stuff like that. Best of luck:)

I called peddlers (Brad) and mentioned that others from T4R got it for a lower price and Brad quoted me $393 shipped and it came 6 days later. However, Ive been having all kinds of strange resonance noices coming from the thing since installation so I decided this weekend to remove it and I found that the plates inside the muffler are loose. Very baaaaaad workmanship. Now I'm again dealing with them to try and get a replacement or my money back. PITA for a thing that started out as a simple mod.

What were the sounds like? I haven't heard anything out of the ordinary besides the normal resonance between 1500-2000 rpm...

That is a tough question. Lets just say after owning numerous v8's with aftermarket cat-back exhausts over the years this was the worst sound coming out of an exhaust system I've heard. At certain RPM's it was like an open exhaust just below the passengers side back seat wallowing throughtout the cabin literally giving me headaches.:bash:

I just won the auction for $390. If you win the auction, they say you will get a either a k&n filter or a high flow converter. If you don't want them, let them know and they'll discount the price. What I did was offer them $390 WITHOUT the K&N/Converter and they accepted.

Can't wait to get it in the mail and for a warm weekend to install it myself.

I also told them I didn't want the cat or the air filter and they wouldn't budge. $430.00 is all they would do. Looks like I am going to get it from my local shop for $400.00 and not really have to wait for it. I wish the EBay auction was a simple bidding deal instead of a make an offer and wait for a counter offer bull crap.

Not sure why they pulled that crap on you. I made the offer last night and when I checked my mail this morning I had "won" with the offer of $390 shipped to my door. This is exactly what I typed in:

Your offer price: US $390.00
Your terms: I am making an offer for the exhaust system WITHOUT the K&N filter/Converter factored in the price.

Got my exhaust last night and weather permitting I'll install it this weekend. Sucks to not have a garage anymore...
