ebay headlights?

Thanks for posting the pics fellas... How are they at night? Any brighter or dimmer than the stock lights?

That's a good idea (I think). So you'd send the ebay lights to whomsoever is retrofitting your HID's (lightwerkz for example) and then install them and sell your OEM headlights?

This eliminates the downtime and the multiple installs of the headlights by installing the ebay ones to drive around while your OEM ones are being retrofitted etc.

Exactly. Although with the extra set, I'd have time to muck about and do the retro myself. I've baked apart various headlights, and it's easy enough, but I've never done a full retrofit. But since you have the OEM ones still in the car, you can take it slow retro'ing the eBay set.

I'd love to just send them to Lightwerkz, but I'm pretty sure that cost wouldn't fly with the wife.

certainly not dimmer...I still have to aim the beams a bit more so they aren't blinding everyone, but I like them so far. I have a pair of HIR bulbs coming within the next few days, so my whole light situation will change anyway...I opted for the HIR bulbs rather than the HIDs for the fact that I don't have projector housings...figured I'd do it the right way. Oh, and as far as my oem lights go, I'll be paint-matching them to the car. This way, I don't have to rush doing the diy (as stated above), and I'll have a new look if I want to change them out.

I'm having some condensation issues. Going to take the lenses back off and clean them.

Any tips on cleaning and also on getting a better seal this time around?
