Ebay replica - TRD Pro Wheels

Ok.... every wheel discussed in this thread is made in Asia. Every one. The qualification comes down to the manufacturing process and final inspection.

Are they cast or forged?
Do they conduct stress tests?
What is the load rating per wheel?
Are the wheels put through an x-ray before leaving the plant?
Ask the seller about their insurance policy limit and warranty?

Guaranteed that the TRDP OEM wheels have passed all of tests.
That think every oem Toyota wheel goes through all of those checks? That's cute. They likely pick one random sample from each production run of hundreds to subject to some of those test. If each wheel was, they would cost thousands, not hundreds.

Mickey Thompson makes a similar wheel, and I would say they are reliable. But personally, I just bought TRD Pro, this way if anything happens- it doesn't void my warrantees.

Why the hell would you buy a knockoff set of wheels when for $250 more you can get the real deal @ your local Toyota dealer?

That ad says "One year finish warranty".

Read between the lines. It does not say "One year warranty"

No way. No how.

You ponied up and bought a good reliable vehicle... why would you cheap out with the parts you're putting on it... it is possible to get some good deals sometimes, but only if the product is of equal quality does it become worth the trade off. Remember, you get what you pay for!

Does anyone know the visual differences or cues on telling the official TRD PRO wheels apart from the replicas?

Personally....
I wouldn't trust my life on a set of ebay wheels that display the brand as:
Brand:
Aftermarket Products

I purchased a set of TRD OEM wheels for 750.00.
YMMV

There are venders on site that you can buy a good TRD replacement wheel from...check them out.

just sayin

Yep. There are much better ways to save a few bucks.
