so these are becoming more popular on ebay. now aside from it obviously needing to be painted, what else is it exactly that i need with this hood to make it work? something from the dealer i believe but what might that be/ any idea on a cost?

Good questions....and may I add why do they all say 99-02 when they are supposed to fit 96-98 as well?

i think the years they were made for from the factory, as that hood wasnt out in 96 to 98. it works though

I have been looking into buying one of these hoods for my 01 SR5 but I do not know what would be needed to install I am guessing it is all bolt on but there my be some drilling needed I also wonder how the line up will be once installed I hope this is just like OEM

you'll need the little grille piece and the hardware for the actual scoop, along with the hood insulator, as it is different from the non-scoop and the necessary hardware for that as well.

also for that clean factory look, pick up a new set of emissions labels for the underside of the hood

I asked the same question. and the answerer the fit and finish is bad go oem even the high end carbon fiber ones dont seem to fit that well.
