Ebay's "synthetic leather" seat covers

Anyone tried these? If so, what do you think about the fit/look/durability?

Keep in mind that buy it now price is for the front seats only. about $250-$300 for front and rear with shipping. I haven't even priced with an upholstery guy yet but i imagine it would be double that price easily. I am not building a show car but i hate the cloth seats.

yeah, I'm interested in these as well. I totally second the motion about the cloth seats :( Faux leather is better than no leather i'd always say
 
They look like the same thing that they sell through performance products, at a higher price of course. I had them in my 00 base before I swapped limited seats in. If they are the same then yes they are high quality and fit incredibly well and I would recomend them. When I bought the leather seats I told a friend, not a car nut mind you, and their response was, don't you already have leather, so they look stock to the untrained eye or at a quick glance.

For anyone that has these seat covers already.. any difference with how they look in comparison to a Limited? I.E. - a Runner that's SUPPOSED to have leather seats?

I guess what I'm getting at is.. do the leather seat covers look out of place?
 
so you can order the leather kit that will replace the cloth from automotiveconcepts.com in the factory color if you are feeling crazy. I used to install aftermarket leather in cars for dealers. the kit is about 550 and is real leather. you can order it anyway u want. its katzkin leather they are the biggest aftermarket leather co out there....

I'm wondering the same thing.

Wonder if I could swap out the worn front leather seats for the synthetic, and if they'd match with the rear bench.
 
My seats are in great condition... but coming from driving a Mercedes, I am used to leather. I might even get these myself, but does anyone know any other seat covers that are good for this gen t4r?

I want to know the most I can, I am bad at finding things on the internet :(

I emailed a previous buyer from this same seller about his opinion of the seat covers after having them a while, here is what he says:

I bought my covers for my 1998 4Runner. I had beige leather seats that had
cracked on the side from where the driver and front passenger entered. I'm
really happy with the seats. The color isn't exactly the same though.
They are a little lighter and have a different texture but they look much
much better than cracked or torn seats. They definitely look like leather
and the fit very well if you install them correctly. I left the seats in
and installed the covers with help from another person. They fit very
tight around the top and the seat portion with a couple of minor wrinkles
on the sides of the base of the seat. Those could probably be fixed if you
removed the seats to install the covers. Overall though, really happy with
the results!

Wet Okole makes great seat covers. They're not leather, but they're high quality wetsuit material, and they come in custom color options. I'll probably be getting a set pretty soon. They're a little on the pricey side though.

Have you got a picture of the front seats with the covers?

That is a perfect photo, same interior color, same exterior color, same color seat covers I wanted. Only thing that is dumb is the fake background placed in the windows lol
