EBC Greenstuff Pads & Shims

I am installing a set of EBC USR slotted rotors and Greenstuff pads on my '07 SR5. When I took out the old pads, the fronts had two shims per pad...A slotted one that was on the back of the pad and then another solid shim that contacts the pistons. The EBC pads already have a solid backing plate attached to the pad itself and my question is do I still use the OEM solid shim that contacts the piston or trash it. Also, EBC doesn't recommend the use of pad lube or grease on the backs of the pads.

Anyone familiar with either of these two issues?

Bump!!
I am curious about this as well, seeing that I need to replace my pads and rotors and was going to pick up the EBC 7K greeners.

Ooops! I actually contacted EBC directly and found out from the source. On the front and back pads, none of the old OEM shims are to be used. They also don't recommend any brake grease on the back of the pads, but I lubed up the pistons anyway. So far so good.

You'v saved me tons of work!!! Did you grease the caliper pins? I will follow up once I am done.
