Ecotechne Roof Rack

Hey Guys,

Anyone have any info on this rack this 5th Gen rack (@rorck_t4r)? The owner referenced it as an Ecotechne rack. I've never heard or seen it before. When I looked it up, looks like they're a company out of Venezuela. I'm digging how low profile it looks. I'm wondering how easy it is to get them in the U.S.

Yep, I saw his post on IG too and thought both the hood rack and roof rack looked sharp. I have a feeling Rorck is also adding Echoteche's 5th gen front bumper since he has the 4x4Labs one for sale. I thought I saw somewhere in the comments that they were planning a group buy soon?

I think low profile (this or a K9) is the way to go if you are not adding lights up there. That hood mount storage is interesting, not a fan but interesting none the less. Any one know if its mounted to the hood or fenders/body? I assume fenders based on how much our hood flexes already but in that case you couldn't open the hood without removing it.....I open my hood a lot for jump starts and air access.

Yes! The gear is expensive once you add on the shipping cost. With a group buy(i will be an athurised distributor) we will be able to get these for less than any other full rack and there is no drilling involved. Plus it flows great with the 4Runner body. I'm going to put an order in for feb 3rd but I can only get around 8 racks and 5 hood racks this time around.

I'll get more pics this weekend. Out of all the racks, this one has the least noice and damage to the car. No drilling involved and really solid.

Definitely interested in what the price would be and seeing a few more pics - I'm sure others would be as well. Looks awesome though!

Very curious about this design. Can't sit to hear about more details about construction and cost? Aluminum or stamped steel? Over all weight and or options...

The hood rack is super cool. The profile of the roof rack is awesome, but I'm not clear about how you'd carry stuff on it. It seems like it has some pretty big gaps.
