if your doing the EFI fuse it needs to be a while, its not just a 60sec deal... even when pulling the battery cable(another method of resetting the ECU) it has to be unhooked for more than 10min -the computer has a capacitor if you will, that stores power incase you have to change the battery, or something, you dont reset the computer. or if you get a dead/low battery and try to turn your truck on and all you get is the click click click... thats cause your battery is low and you are trying to suck every last bit out of it, notice how your dash lights and dome light will die out as this is happening... yeah well your computer would be resetting everytime this happened if it did not have the "capacitor"...
now granted im not saying you changing your battery is a thing that happens all the time or a dead battery is common and toyota knew this would happen bla bla bla bla but yeah point is circuit needs to be broken for a few min to reset the computer, a temporary or momentary brake in the circuit will not do it.
