Maybe it's just me, but spending 33,000 on a RAV4 is a little hard for me to even think about. I am sure it will be a nice vehicle, but for 1/3 of a $100,000 I would probably want more than a RAV4.

one more thing is that i disagree with edmunds, i think the 1st gen are the best looking while the 3rd gen looks horrible. I guess everyone really has different tastes.

The new RAV4 definitely looks like a nice upgrade from the previous models. The interior and exterior both look nice and Toyota definitely made it a bit more luxurious. But, $32,708 for a RAV4??????? I can be driving around in a 4Runner SR5 for that price and have a lot more room! A RAV4 is supposed to be a reasonably priced compact SUV. A 2005 RAV4 L went for around $25,000.

25000 is still alot for an L, i was going to get an 05 L for 19,500, it was listed at 22,000 i saw the 4runner tho, and we ended up getting the 4runner. definately happier.
but the point of the story is the 05s werent even anywhere near that price, a fully loaded L was prolly about 25,000. and a base model was 17k i think, and now the base is 22k i think, that means the prices raised 5-8k!
edit: the price only raised 1250 for base, $19,050-$20,300
