EFI cleaing and Throttle service

I took my 04 4Runne for an oil change today. The dealer service adviser recommended EFI cleaning ($80) and Throttle body service ($100). He couldn't really explain to me the benefits of these services. So I declined them.

I routinely put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the tank, at every oil change. Should I have them done? Or is it just another way to take your money?

It is a way to get your money. As long as you use the recommended octane you should never need any type of fuel system cleaning.

Keep the plugs fresh and quality fuel in tank and watch the miles add up.:guitar2:
